I have naturally straight hair and sometimes I find strands that are curly growing from my scalp! They feel a bit rough in texture and when I pluck them out, they don't hurt as much as it would if I plucked a straight hair out.
I'm not sure if heat damage causes this, but I have stopped applying heat to my hair for weeks and these curly strands still appear. To be honest, they're a bit like pubic hair.
Any help and information on how to get rid of and prevent them would be greatly appreciated :)
Curly hair growing from straight hair?
I'm not sure what it is, but I have sumthing similar.
I used to have a fairly straight hair.
Then I started using a straigtener frequently, to get it pin straight.
Now, my hair's kinda of wavy-ish. Not in good way because it's not the curly wavy-ish hair, its part of hair that just sticks out.
sorry, not good in explaining.
but good luck, hope u get ur answer.

What color is your hair? I have dark brown hair (which is curly) but when I have a grey/white hair come in, it's white and coarse and doesn't hurt when I pull it out - although I dont do that now! I've heard people with lighter colored hair sometimes get dark hairs that grow that way...as for straight hair going to curly - mine did...during puberty..now I have super curly hair...but I've heard it could go back to being straight if I have a baby..major hormone changes can cause it...I'd stop pulling them out - if they're a color you don't like..probably be better to just color your hair.
