Curly and straight hair-best of both, help!?

This may sound confusing but, here goes. For the last four years i have straightened my hair, and had it cut dry so it has a style when straight. Now, i've decided i want to have my hair natural curly hair too on occasion, and ive been told that my hair will need cutting the way my curl forms to get the best curl. Will i be able to achieve having a nice straight hair cut for the occasions i want it straight, while also having the right cut for my curls,or would i have to choose one or the other. Its long, with layers which have grown out some, and need chopping back in.Help!

Curly and straight hair-best of both, help!?

I think its best to have it cut so it looks ok straight. If you let the hairdresser style your hair so its sits curly they wont care if its uneven. I wear my hair both, Mine has a slight layer in the back and is a bit choppy down the sides. I use a tong to put my curl in though because my hair is not naturally curly. My daughter has naturally curly hair and always gets hers cut in a straight style too and it looks fine when she has it curly. My sister always had curly hair and decided she wanted to wear it straight sometimes, it did not sit even with the curly cut, so she had it cut straight too and now it sits fine in both styles.Sorry its a bit long just giving you examples of people I know and its always worked best to have it cut straight.

Curly and straight hair-best of both, help!?

let it be straight. i like straight hair. i think it looks more elegant.

Curly and straight hair-best of both, help!?

Hi, i also have long layered hair that goes curly when not styled after a wash. Ideally if you want to achieve curls let nature take its course, but keep the layers. they are vital in encouraging a curl. And remember, when straightening....ALWAYS use a protective spray, (i use john frieda frizz eze its fab)

Curly and straight hair-best of both, help!?

I think curled hair looks best with layers, it gives texture to the hair. I find curly hair all one lenght can look a bit generic. I think the style you have now is best for both, don't cut it anymore!!!

Curly and straight hair-best of both, help!?

My sister has naturally curly hair, but she wears her hair straight most of the time. She can wear her hair either way though and doesn't need it cut to suit either style.

Try it out on your hair you'll know if its not right.

Curly and straight hair-best of both, help!?

the best thing to do is tois get it cut in the style you like when it's straight and when you want it curly it will curl in nice layers. this ishow i have mine and i love it.

My hair is pretty curly naturally.

But lately I've been having difficulty finding a good product to put in it.

Guys curly or straight hair?

I have dark brown curly hair with some blond highlights and its shoulder length and I'm letting it grow out.... I know personality and looks matters most, but what about curly or straight hair because I have naturally curly hair and I wanted to know how attractive is it?

Guys curly or straight hair?

I like long curly hair that bounces with lots of body...and i am glad to hear ur letting it grow out...send me a picture..to this address at yahoo...

Guys curly or straight hair?

Straight it just flows better.

Guys curly or straight hair?

Personality and looks do matter the most. Id say go natural. I love natural looking hair. Unless it is too curly. then go wavy

Guys curly or straight hair?

s t r a i g h t

Guys curly or straight hair?

Leave your hair as it is. It's more lovely when it's natural.

Guys curly or straight hair?

i prefer straight smooth and silky hair rather than curly one.if u like curly let it grow only till shoulders.

Guys curly or straight hair?

As long as it aint frizzy, curly cause that is the 'real' you, and THAT'S what most real men look for nowdays. But you can always fix frizzy. I do by using Herbal Essences-"Dangerously Straight" Mousse at the roots. that name of shampoo n cond. helps also.

Guys curly or straight hair?

i like straight hair more but curly is nice.

Guys curly or straight hair?

curly hair is good if it looks good...too much curls looks odd though....men always want to play with curly hair....I have read it in some article.....so there u go..u might have a fan following....beware!!!!

Guys curly or straight hair?

if u want curly hair like u have now than let it grow or if u want short hair then straight hair will look nice.atually straight hair will look osam!!

Guys curly or straight hair?

I think it varies.. some girls are very hot with curly hair, and other can't really pull it off..

I have no real preference.. it just depends on an individual level..

There's a girl in one of my classes who has naturally curly hair and she also straightens it about once or twice a week.. I think she looks great either way because she's a cute girl to begin with

Guys curly or straight hair?

I prefer straight hair. If you have the right personality curls are okay. Girls with curly hair seem to be more self centered . . . at least the ones I know. I just find straight long hair more attractive.

Guys curly or straight hair?

Physical appearance only matters if we allow it to. You are the same person whether in style or out, fat or thin, bald or crippled, among the "in" crowd or on the fringe, alone or with others. It's YOU. Unfortunately, we alter our looks in hopes of being more acceptable. But when all is said and done, who are you fooling except yourself?

I have naturally curly hair and have been getting relaxers but I have now stopped & want to grow

relaxer. MY roots are already curly and from now on I planned on going to get it pressed so that my hair would stay straight longer..my hair is similar to Tia and Tamara Mowrys hair from Sister Sister when they had curly hair but mine is shorter (neck length)....my problem is I have also taken up excercise and any drop of wetness means and abomination for my hair because it starts to curl and fro up...what can I do? I don't want to stop excercising I just got into the habit of it. I have been wearing extensions as well so thats why i have been able to workout but I am no longer going to wear extensions or relax my hair...any ideas?

I have naturally curly hair and have been getting relaxers but I have now stopped %26amp; want to grow out the?

I'm in the same boat, I recently stopped relaxing my hair and I've tried a couple things while exercising. If my hair is pressed I'll pull it back into a tight ponytail and put a thick cloth headband around my head to keep my edges smooth. Also I've worn straw sets and roller sets so that hair is curly and the two textures blend in better, with this hair style I'm ok to sweat and my edges don't look bad. Hope this helps :)

I have naturally curly hair and have been getting relaxers but I have now stopped %26amp; want to grow out the?

Wear protective styles while you grow out your relaxer. Try braids.

HELP!!!!! unruly curly hair?

i need a lot of help. I have curly thick hair. since i was 12 it was relaxed because my mother was too lazy to deal with it. so when i turned 21 i cut it all off. it was really short because i wanted my natural hair back. the relaxer was thinning my hair and i was losing it. i used to go to the Dominican hairsalons and they told me it would never grow back. so i cut it all off. now a year later its growing curly but its to short to style or put in a ponytail. What can i do so it wont frizz in the heat? i like it curly but since its short i cant do anything right now. i want to try EASYSTRAIGHT by haime munoz so it wont be frizzy anymore. i have tried EVERYthing and at the end of the night its frizzy again :( I need help im ready to cut it all off again

HELP!!!!! unruly curly hair?

I know exactly how you feel because my hair is the same way - mine is very long, thick and curly - but don't fret, there are products out there that can help us girls....

first of all - do not use styling products (i.e. gels, hair sprays, moose etc.) that have alcohol in them - alcohol dries out your hair

now, I use Neutogena Triple Moisture: Silk Touch Leave-In Cream - this stuff is GREAT! it makes my hair soft and very manageable - you'll find this at any drug store - its about 8 bucks - but well worth it - I also put olive oil in my hair - thick hair tends to be a little dryer than most - you'll find olive oil at any beauty supply store for 2 or 3 dollars - I also use Marc Anthony Strictly Curls defining lotion - this is a good product also - I put this on my hair right after I wash it - it eliminates most of the frizz

I hope this helps - make sure you keep your hair moisturized

much love :-)

HELP!!!!! unruly curly hair?

use sunsilk (green) DE-frizz and for styling use ganier's soft curl cream or ganier's shapping curl sparay or the hard curl gel i %26amp;hearts ganier

hope this help

HELP!!!!! unruly curly hair?

Carry a bottle of hairspray and 24/7 conditioning cream and just put it on.

HELP!!!!! unruly curly hair?

I have long curly hair and can imagine how it is short. I have been using suave products for curly hair and they have a frizz spray aswell. Curly hair is hard to maintain. I don't think nothing is actually going to get the frizz away but these products will help bring it down....good luck

HELP!!!!! unruly curly hair?

My kids have curly hair and I like Redken Outshine, I have tried a lot of products and like this the best. You put it in towel dried hair and it does not take much. Don't put it in the root area though or it looks greasy, just the middle and ends and it helps with frizz and just makes it lay so much nicer. I also use Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist on their hair instead of water, I wet the frizz down a little every morning and water makes it worse and dries it out.

I also use the L'Oreal Vive shampoo and conditioner for curly hair.

This combination works the best on them, it sounds like yours might be more curly than theirs but its worth a shot.

Where I live the Redken and Paul Mitchell are cheapest at the Wal-Mart hair salons, and the L'Oreal you can get at any Wal-Mart type store.

HELP!!!!! unruly curly hair?

Prenatal vitamins sometimes will help the hair to grow faster. A hot olive oil treatment once or twice a month will help the hair stay healthy. You are right to avoid relaxers, but also try to avoid coloring your hair. Get your ends trimmed every 6 weeks, wrap it up with a satin scarf at night and don't do too much blow drying or straight ironing. Heat damages the hair.

You might also try having your hair braided and wearing a full head weave or wig until your hair has grown to a length you can handle.

Hair - straight now curly?

um okay well my mom has REALLY curly hair i mean like tight curls and my dad has straight hair. I used to have straight hair but it started to get wavy, and now there are actually curls. Why is this happening? is it gonna get curlier? or is get getting curlier because its really long? please help!

Hair - straight now curly?

Hair often changes, especially during puberty. There is not really anyway to predict what is going to happen to your hair. I know mine got slightly less curly as I grew older (but it's still pretty curly). Here are some resources about caring about curly hair if that helps at all. (:

Hair - straight now curly?

Sometimes your hair changes, I'm not sure why but it does. I used to have curly hair as a baby then it got really straight until I reached high school and ever since then its just been wavy. It might be curly because its getting long but I can't tell without seeing it or it being my own hair :-P

Hair - straight now curly?

growing your roots out causes your hair to mature. Get some straightening hair supplies and it should tame your hair down to loose waves. Good luck!

Hair - straight now curly?

I think it might be getting curly, but not as curly as your moms, it'll probably be a bit in between, cuase when i was a child i had lots of curls, then it progressed into waves and now its either, but most of the time its curls.

Hair - straight now curly?

hair can change, my aunts does alot

Hair - straight now curly?

your hair will change about every 7 years. It has to do with hormones and things like that. My hair was wavy when I was younger, got curly when I was about elematary school age, about middle school thru high school it got crazy thick and super frizzy. Now that I'm older the curls have loosened up and it's not that frizzy. Just the way hair works.

Hair - straight now curly?

This is exactly what happened to my hair! But I found out that sometimes your hair changes due to puberty, and that's around when mine started to get wavy and eventually curly. I would imagine if you cut it short, it will be even curlier as the curls will spring up more, so I don't think your hair being long has anything to do with it. If you're looking for something to help you understand/manage curly hair, i would suggest

Curly hair cut?

I don't want to get my hair cut too short, but would choppy layers look good with curly hair? (i want to have a change in style. right now i have angled layers, about shoulder length hair, at least when its dry...my hair's also kinda thick....help pls!!

Curly hair cut?

Choppy layers might make your hair poof out a lot. It depends how thick and curly you hair is, though. I think you should ask the stylist before they cut it to see what they think.

Curly hair cut?

no keep it at your shoulders

Curly hair cut?

if u want it in layers id say just get it flat ironed.it would look weird curly and in layers.i did my hair like that and it looks really poofy.but u could hav a diffrent type of hair grain but still just get it flat ironed

Curly hair cut?

no i dont think it will look that good.

Curly hair cut?

I have curly hair and I used to have that kind of layers. Unless ur waves r really loose, try growing OUT your old layers. I did, and because I needed something new, I got long, angled side bangs. It looks great, and its really easy to style.

Wavy/curly hair styling?

i have hair that is wavy, kind of curly depending on what i do with it. right now i straighten it all the time, but im sick of having to do that all the time and i would like to find a style that works with my hair type.usually when i 'attempt;' to style my hair wavy, i put some mousse or biosilk in it when its damp, then i blow dry it and i try to put the strands the stretch out the curly bit and make it more wavy. it always turns out puffy and gross. what can i do to make my hair look decent?

Wavy/curly hair styling?

I would recommend doing what you are doing but do not blow dry it because then it poofs it out what I do with mine is when I get out of the shower I use biosilk hair serum then I brush my hair and put the part the way I want it then apply mouse, usually Herbal Essence mouse and crunch it a little to give it the curly look. Do not blow dry your hair, it makes it dry and your hair becomes weak. See my hair pics on my myspace. www.myspace.com/jmelee85

Wavy/curly hair styling?

blow dry w/a diffuser.

Wavy/curly hair styling?

Read the book Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey. I have hair like yours and this book was a huge help. I used to kinda hate my hair because it just looked frizzy all the time, but now I like my hair and can do more with it. Give it a try!

Wavy/curly hair styling?

you can either get a perm if you want to wear it curly or you can have it straightened with a chemical that is supposed to make your hair Straight without doing anything to it. YOu can go to a salon and they will do it for you!

Wavy/curly hair styling?

blow dry on low heat. Heat is what makes it puffy and dry looking. Try hot curlers. If your hair is really wavy, using the curlers will make it less wavy and even. Try a shorter style so if there is more involved with getting it to where you want, less to deal with.

Wavy/curly hair styling?

I have very curly hair, when I blow dry (always with a diffuser) it gets curlier. If you want more wave than curl I would suggest applying mouse and some leave in conditioner when hair is soaking wet, scrunch it with a towel and let it air dry. Blow drying, even with a diffuser always makes my hair bigger....

Wavy/curly hair styling?

I have the same hair type as you and it is hard to deal with, I cut mine off really short as it suits me better but when I had it long I used to use Umberto Giannini products, they worked very well for my hair. They do a shampoo and conditioner and styling products for curly hair, After washing my hair I would wrap it in a towel for about 15 minutes and then tip my head upside down and scrunch my hair up into my fists in sections to encourage the curl. I let it naturally dry and then scrunched through the mousse from the same range (about a golf ball sized amount) and then I would use a diffuser to dry it, upside down as it adds more body. Once it was dry I would then spritz with hair spray (still holding my head upside down) and then when you stand up right again it should be really nice curls. My hair was about chin length in a bob so it worked pretty well most days.

Wavy/curly hair styling?

Be sure to use a diffuser on your blow dryer and use shampoo, conditioner and styler that is for curly hair (Dove is inexpensive and works well). Be sure not to touch your hair too much with your hands as this will make it frizzier.

Wavy/curly hair styling?

let it dry naturally and see what kind of body your hair has. from there see how you can style. the straightening and constant blowdrying gets tiring and can damage your hair. i use some leave-in conditioners and other creams to cut down on the puffyness

Wavy/curly hair styling?

I hear ya sister!

I came from the same boat as you, sounds like. My current solution is that I got Japanese straightening done on my hair (approximately 8 hours, and $400 including tip) for smooth, stick straight, silky shiny zero-frizz hair. I think wavy hair is beautiful but I think the hassle of having to style it EVERY DAY was becoming way too much, and the convenience of having straight hair was sooo nice- hop in the shower, hop out, towel dry, and head out and turn heads. If you opt for this, find someone who uses Liscio system, and make sure they do the procedure fairly often and have references because I went to someone who didn't have much experience to save money and I regretted it.

There are also curl relaxers, a more intermediary option that I haven't personally tried, but my friend has had some luck with, where it costs less and merely relaxes some of the curl to get out frizz. You are left with wavy hair that should be easier to manage. However I can't recommend anything specific.

However, if that doesn't sound like an alternative to you, there isn't too much that you can do to alleviate poof. I would definitely recommend using a diffuser on your hair dryer to keep the shape of your curls. Flip your head over and focus heat on your roots to give them lift so that you aren't doomed to have pyramid syndrome (hair flat at the roots and super poofy at the ends). If you towel dry your hair, stop, because it aggravates the shaft of your hair. Instead, try using a cotton t-shirt and rubbing down the hair shaft to soak up excess water.

Good luck!

Wavy/curly hair styling?

I have wavy/curly hair too. My hair is thin though and when I straighten it it gets really flat. So I usually try to style mine curly. Mouse is not strong enough to hold your hair. I wash mmy hair, then brush it back with my fingers, get some spray gel and spray it all over your wet/damp hair and i mean ALL over. Make sure you distribute it from root to tip (regualr gel wont work). throw your head upside down, and blow dry keeping your head upside down, DO NOT run your fingers through your hair this will give it the poof. Dry your hair COMPLETELY or you will have the poof when it drys on its own. Flip your head back up and tame it down. Its should be perfect and ready to go. It doesnt take very long to style it this way and it looks great. thats why I do it! hope this helps!

Wavy/curly hair styling?

OK...

It's very easy to get a beautiful head of wavy/curly hair with your hair type. Buy yourself some frizz-ease/curl creme or leave-in conditioner rather than mousse and buy a wide tooth comb instead of a brush. Also buy a diffuser attachment for your hairdryer.

When you get out of the shower (having used a good shampoo and a fair amount of conditoner), put in the frizz-ease/curl creme/leave in conditioner and comb your hair through. Then section the hair into lots of equal sections and twist those sections in order to make you look (temporarily, mind!) as if you have dreadlocks (ish). Turn on your hairdryer with diffuser onto the lowest possible setting and gently tease the twists of hair into the barrel of the diffuser by having the hairdryer pointing upwards into the hair. Use a kind of twisting motion with the hairdryer and, keeping it pointed upwards, rough dry the twists up to the root all around. Don't keep the hairdryer on one spot for too long and don't dry the hair for too long- it should still be slightly damp when you're done.

Use your fingers to tease open the twists of hair and you should have created glossy curls. DO NOT USE A BRUSH ON THEM! If there is a knot, use your fingers or the wide tooth comb. Using a brush will make it really frizzy. Tackle frizz with a curl creme or spray.

Hope this helps!

Wavy/curly hair styling?

First, do not use mousse. You mention you have problems with frizzy, puffy hair...the purpose of mousse is to add volume to the hair...you're not in need of the volume it seems. I would recommend a product line called Deva Curl. I know it's sold in salons, and I don't know how much you are willing to spend to maintain your curl, but this line is excellent. The normal shampoos on the market, even those for curly hair, contain ingredients that are drying and damaging to curls. These shampoos, conditioners and gels (not hard-drying, stiff gels...very touchable soft) work wonders on curly hair.

Also when you towel dry your hair when you finish your shower, do not use a regular towel. The loops on them will grab strands of hair and pull them apart, causing the frizzy look as it dries. Instead use a cotton towel or cotton tee shirt. This will take the wetness out while leaving your curls intact. And of course, use a wide tooth comb or pick....the best tool though would always be your fingers. If at all possible run your hands through your hair to separate any tangles. Sometimes a comb or pick will separate the curls too much and in the end your hair looks big and puffy.

If you have any more questions, I'll be happy to help.

Wavy/curly hair styling?

I would suggest NOT chemical straightening your hair. That is very damaging and can dry your hair out horribly. To control your waves/curls, after you shampoo/condition hair apply a leave in conditioner to soaking wet hair and comb through. Let it air dry so it's damp. Then apply mousse for soft hold, or gel for a more firm hold, and a frizz cream. When blow drying hair ALWAYS use a diffuser. If not, the hot heat from the dryer will knock your curls or waves out and make it frizzy. I use Garnier Fructis shampoo/conditioner and Aussie hair products. I have natural curly hair so I feel your pain!! I hope this helps out and good luck!

Wavy/curly hair styling?

hmm i guess im suggesting to get a hair cut..or use stronger gel..dont blow dry it anymore..i have short curly hair and it gets frizzy but i use tresemme extra strength hold black bottle wth yellow hints on it. i just towel dry my hair then comb it through and gel it..and it combs out pretty tidy..hmm well dont put so much moose or anything in it..and make sure the kinda give it a few brushes as it dries..that way its no so limp or anything :]

just tring to help!! ^-^

xoxoxoxoxoxo

Curly hair HELP.....Please any idea will be apperciated!!!?

yes you could go to a salon like the girl above said and get it chemically straightened but that will cost a nice bunch.

I have had majorly curly hair all my life as well and i straighten mine on the regular. Only problem is you have to do it like every few days cause with our culry hair after strightening it, it get oily after about 2 days and we gotta wash it again.

I have a revlon straightener and it works great and it was only like 25 bucks at target. i know you dont wanna use a straightener but i think unless you wanna go spend a ton of money you will end up having to. But you can minimize how much you have to use it.

If you try to straighten in when its in curls its a lot of work. Here is my suggestions, cause if you look at my pic my hair is straightened and it only takes me about 15 20 minutes instead of the hour it used to cause of the things i do before hand.

Try this; wash your hair the night before wash it good scrub your scalp and everything to remove the build up and any pesky oils off your scalp that will creep on to your hair after straightening it.

then braid it either in two pigtails on the sides or one in the back (keep the hair bands loose )and braid it loose so in the morning it will be just about completly dry.

(or and this one works best, loosly twist your hair into a bun on the top of your head, and you wont have the braid dents in it and it will dry in a pretty straight way.)

this will make your hair dry with some straight-ness to it. its ok if when you are about to straighten it, it is still a tiny bit damp. that will actually make it stragihten better.

use your starightener on full strength (you can tell if it is too hot for your hair by ussing a piece of kleenex and putting the tissue into the straightener and hold it shut on it for 5 seconds if the tissue turns brown in the amount of time then it will burn you hair too. so do that check as well) after your heat setting is as high as it can go, bunch all but a small section on the bottom up into a bun. like the bottom layer of your hair all the way from ear to ear but it needs to be thin. then flaten that section (DO NOT RUN A BRUSH THRU IT brushing it while its hot will not help it will actually create frizz and put waves back in again brush after your hair is totally cool.) after its flat pull down another thin section ear to ear and flaten that so on and so on. once you have everything flatened from bottom up and you have the front area left (make sure you always do the front area and bangs last) (still dont brush it) take the front hair in thin sections and if you want some body and bouce to your stragiht hair then hold the hair straight up and run the iron up like to the celingand give it a few seconds(like 4-5 seconds) to sit on the part near the scalp so this part has some bounce and body to it. do that with all the hair in the front. then ta da make sure its totally cool to the touch then you can add a TINY dab of anit frizz cream to the ENDS ONLY . then rub your hands on the top but do the bottom first.

also with curly hair you may have to grab a thin section of hair each time and actually hold it out then iron the part from the scalp to your hand over and over a few times the ends will flatten easy so do that part last.

i said you could put cream in it but i dont use any styling products at all ever. and you can always blow dry your hair directly outta the shower (leave it a bit damp tho i actually found that helps it flatten better.) but i was telling you how i do it cause i don tlike to use heat if i dont have to. using the bun lets it dry pretty straight already. and have a mirror handy so you can go check each and every section of hair that you flattened in the back, that you finish before you let down more culry hair down on top of it.

if you want to go look at how straight and curly my hair is you can check out my myspace page and pictures as an example for you. :) www.myspace.com/crystal831

good luck hun

Curly hair HELP.....Please any idea will be apperciated!!!?

get it chemically straitened at a salon.

it will stay straight for months.

Curly hair HELP.....Please any idea will be apperciated!!!?

It's okay to straighten your hair as long as you make sure that you use protecting serum or spray before doing it.

You can also buy frizz-ease shampoo and conditioner (try john frieda).

With curly hair, it's best to use a LOT of the frizz-ease conditioner, and frizz-ease serum whilst your hair is damp. Then you can straighten your hair (GHDs are the best make of straightener by the way...they leave you with POKER straight hair).

You sound like you have the same type of hair as my sister, so I know what I'm talking about.

Another thing you can do, is buy hair relaxant. I don't know where you're living in the world, but here in the UK we have this store called Boots which sells 'hair relaxer' which is a treatment you leave on your hair for about half an hour and it relaxes your curls and frizz for about 1 month, which means you can control it and straighten/blow dry with better results...

hope this helps

Curly hair HELP.....Please any idea will be apperciated!!!?

y dnt u like ur hair?? everyone has straight hair. u should like being different.

Curly hair HELP.....Please any idea will be apperciated!!!?

I have majorly curly hair too. I've tried it all: Sunsilk, Friz ease, Anti Poof, you name it. All the gels, all the 'magical' sprays, but if you staighten it, get it done professionally (chemically), or to make your hair luscious soft and smooth, (and take advantage of your beautiful curls) use shampoo and conditioner that is marked 'shiny'. Yeah, i know that's dosent SAY 'friz, poof' or what ever, but it WORKS.

Curly hair HELP.....Please any idea will be apperciated!!!?

Get it permanent straighten in a hair salon and if you don't like it then stop using the treatment they will give you

I naturally have thick curly hair, but the curls are quite unruly, I was wondering if you can get your hair permed into loose barrell curls (rather than tight ringlets or corkscrews)? also will it work cause my hair is naturally curly? how easy is it to maintain, and if I wanted to straighten my hair for occasional days, would this damage the perm?? sorry for all the questions lol if anyone can share their experiences with perms that would be great (pics included, would be even better!) thanks alot.

Permed curly hair?

one suggestion: don't do it. it will only make it more curly. i did that to my curly hair and it took me three months to brush and wash out the perm.

Permed curly hair?

yes, they can roll your hair on the large rods %26amp; perm it. when they put the solution on ur hair it breaks bonds that are in ur hair %26amp; that allows it to take the form of the rod. %26amp; after ur hair has finished processing they put a neurtalizer on their to remmake the bonds they broke so ur hair will stay the shape of the rod. %26amp; you can straighten ur hair %26amp; it wont damage the perm just make sure to use a thermal protector so ur hair doesnt get heat damage. a perm would be the same to manage as ur hair now. hope thishelps.:)

xoxoxoxoxoxo

Get it permanent straighten in a hair salon and if you don't like it then stop using the treatment they will give you

good luck!!

Curly Hair Solutions - Curl Keeper - www.frizzoff.com?

Has anyone ever used products off of this site - www.frizzoff.com? It's a brand called Curly Hair Solutions. In particular, I'm wondering about the Curl Keeper. My hair is naturally curly but it is poofy and crazy looking at the top. My hair is cute when it's in a ponytail but I can't wear it down because it would be a HUGE mess. So I'm wondering if Curl Keeper would work for me. If you have used it how did it work for you?

Curly Hair Solutions - Curl Keeper - www.frizzoff.com?

- Some people on naturallycurly.com's forums use it. I've never used it so I wont say anything about it. Start a thread about it and see what you find out!

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sodium laureth sulfate or anything close to that). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the cruchy texture later.

- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). Then let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

not sure about that stuff, but I also have naturally curly ultra thick hair that goes totally out of control if not tamed properly. I use Frizz Ease by john frieda and it works wonders. They have an extra strength serum and something called wind down creme both of these in combination work to make my hair wavy instead of a fro like usual :) You will have to play with the amount to use depending on your hair length as too much product can make your hair appear greasy

Curly Hair Solutions - Curl Keeper - www.frizzoff.com?

I haven't heard of those products, but if you are going to spend money on any products, I HIGHLY suggest using Bumble and Bumble hair products. They are professionally made, and are great products. These products are a little more expensive than others, but are worth every penny. They also last a really long time if used sparingly. If these products cannot be bought, still follow these steps using different products.

Begin by getting your hair cut/trimmed by a professional stylist. They will also thin it, which will help with a lot of the extra bulk in your locks.

1. Wash hair well with Bumble and Bumble's Curl Conscious Shampoo. Apply a small amount to palms and rub gently onto scalp and hair. Using fingertips massage your scalp and rinse well afterwards.

2. If you are going to use a conditioner, (I recommend using only 2-3 times a week) follow after shampoo. Use Curl Conscious Conditioner for Medium to Thick Hair. Use a small amount and apply to your hair. Do not rub into your scalp. Leave in for 1-2 minutes and rinse with cool water. Rinsing with cool water will allow most of the nutrients to be absorbed and not washed away.

3. If you are styling your hair curly, scrunch dry and apply Curl Conscious Styling cr鐚玬e. You can also add any of their mousse/hairspray to add firm hold. Leaning over and letting your hair fall upside down, scrunch your hair upwards towards the top of your head using your fingertips, while blow-drying.

If you are styling your hair straight, follow steps one and two, but using a different shampoo/conditioner. Any of the Bumble and Bumble ones are great.

1. Apply a small amount of Bumble and Bumble 閳ユソtraight閳?onto palms of hands, and work through damp hair.

2. Blow-dry with your fingertips until mostly dry, and then finish by using a round or paddle brush. Because your hair is so thick, I would recommend doing it in sections.

3. Using a flat iron (I strongly recommend a CHI.) straighten your hair in small sections, combing/brushing through as you go.

If desired, you can add a finishing touch by using the Bumble and Bumble Defrizz. This is a great tool for those extra hairs that never seem to stay down! =)

I hope these tips help. I wrote them myself, but the products can be bought at www.bumbleandbumble.com I know it can be a pain to have to spend extra money on hair products, but they really do work, and it閳ユ獨 really worth it. I can promise you閳ユ獟l be happy. If you cannot purchase these products, don閳ユ獩 stress, just follow the same steps I gave, just using different products. (these are just my favorites) I wish you the best of luck閳ヮ泧nd if you need any more help, tips, or advice on products, let me know!

Poll: Do men NOT like curly hair?

The Millionaire Matchmaker lady was on Ellen yesterday and said that men don't like curly hair??? That made me feel sort of bad because I have curly hair (and not like thick course frizzy curly hair, but soft supple curly hair)

So all of the men out there, how do you feel about a girl with curly hair?

Poll: Do men NOT like curly hair?

she meant curly hair as in those bushy ugly curly head people, not the ones with nice soft long curls, the ones that look really bad.

Poll: Do men NOT like curly hair?

I don't think she meant it that way and I'm sure that guys will like you for who you are or they aren't worth your time.

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

Everyone tells me that my hair looks great curly and i look cleaner I hate it curly. But when I straighten my hair it's longer but my ends like die but i like straight better. But I always where my hair up. U pick what should I do. My curly hair is like ringlets.

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

Well I think you should use extra moisturizing products made for curly hair, on your curly hair days. I mean there is nothing worst that having frizzy, dry, curly hair, so pump it the moisture, so your curls will behave. Try Wella or Sexy Hair products for curly hair.

If you feel like going straight, then go. Temporarily straighting your hair is the best way to achieved that smooth silky look with out the commitment. However be sure to use a great straightening product to ensure you silky hair is not fried during the process. Wella and Sexy Hair is my favorite product.

Trim your ends every 6 weeks, to remove those ugly dry ends.

Enjoy

curly.

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

If you have curly hair you should embrace it. straightening is just a pain and it'll end up becoming wavy anyway. my friend who has ringlets told me that she uses an extreme hold curling mouse and it helps her curls stay bouncy and clean. john frieda is the best curling mouse brand. it doesnt make your hair look greasy and it has an all day hold.

have a stylists help you

put more on your ends

My hair is the same way. Very curly, and puffy when it dries on it's own. I use products to try and take some of the poof out. I like t better dried too, but like you, it fries very quickly. Mine is in better shape since I cut about 3 inches off it, but I am STILL grieving over that three inches, lol!

I hope someone can give us both some advice.

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

leave it curly, I bet its beatiful. if you straighten it use a protein conditioner for it and that should help I use ION conditioner you can get it at sallys beauty supply, but if you want the truth leave it curly. most people pay to have that done. good luck

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

What God gave you is usually what looks best on you anyway. Find ways to optimize your curly do. If you think it looks frizzy, get anti-friz treatment or just use more conditioner. OR you could take your showers at night and towel dry until damp as opposed to blow drying which will poof you out.

Curly hair is beautiful. I wish I had it. Flaunt it darlin 閳?br>My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

we cant really choose if you dont have pictures to show us.. get you hair permanetly straightened until your roots grow out...go to a salon....my hair is straight and i got a perm but my naturally straight hair is growing out now.....but it was a great experience....get it proffessionally straightend.

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

my daughter straightens her hair everyday.hers is a little wavy.it takes her forever to get ready for school.it has to be straight.but if yours is extremely curly,i'd leave it curly.maybe you could try some hair product to make it a little less curly.

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

deal with it

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

I think that if you are naturally curly, it's better to leave it that way because it looks nicer. Plus if everyone tells you that it looks better then it probably does.

If you are still not satisfied then you can get your hair chemically straightened at a salon. It will cost about $300-$600 but it lasts for 1 year. My best friend gets it done, her hair is pretty similar to yours. They put a very strong conditioner in your hair, so it will not dry out. Ask you local salon about it.

Hope this helps!!

stick with curly- but every morning wash ur hair use conditioner and put leave in conditioner in and gel plus hairspray. You hair will look GREAT!

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

i have to blowdry and straighten my hair every night before to go to school just to look presentable. i wear my hair curly on weekends around my family because its just grossly curly! i do everything to try to maintain it and i just LOVE how my hair looks striaght but its such a pain to do that every night or every other night. is there some kind of treatment i can get done to make my hair naturally straight and also i find it kind of ironic that every since i had hair it was PIN STRAIGHT and when i turned 12 it got SO CURLY. my mom says it was from hormones but thats kind of wierd. anyways can anyone help me out?

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

have the same problem because of a thyroid condition. I was blessed with kinky hair but my thyroid problem has caused my hair to become very coarse.

I do a lot of different things to straighten mine but I am always changing trying new things too:

1. Biosilk Silk Therapy (its a frizz reducer)

2. Try to only wash or get your hair wet 2 times a week. If it is starting to get greasy, take a little baby powder and pat it on your scalp and then brush out so you cant see the powder anymore. The powder absorbs the oil in your hair allowing you to go another day or so without washing it.

3. Straighten hair with a ceramic flat iron or curl it with Conair's Instant Heat curling iron. The heat kills the frizz and leaves hair feeling a little smoother.

4. Wash hair before you go to bed. Put it in a ponytail and wrap your ponytail tightly in an ace bandage. The bandage will absorb the moisture overnight and leave your hair smoother and straighter by the morning.

Good luck, its NOT an easy task, but always try new things.

Also, you can get a perm to straighten your hair too but its expensive

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

Try no shampoo or brush (not unhygienic).Massage scalp w/ conditioner and rinse. Then spread conditioner outside of hair and nape of neck.Gently comb tangles out w/ fingers from under hair and rinse.Or use wide toothed comb.Takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. http://www.ylcf.org/gotcurl/ Report It

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

The only suggestion I have is to get a perm. Thats what I do, I didnt like my curly hair either, so I got a perm to fix that problem

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

me to and you now just think curly hair is better cause it has nore style and flavor

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

You can use Bed Head Control Freak shampoo and conditioner by Tigi to help straighten out the curl a bit. Try using silk therapy after your shower and a good gel with proteins. Let your hair air dry and see if the curl gets any better. The only other option is a chemical straightener which will damage your hair even though it cuts down styling time in 1/2.

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

get perm, but u c u show every1 everyday that u got strait hair rite? well surprise them 1 day with ur curly hair do something cute with them like 2 ponytails. n then do it often n sometimes do stair hair ppl will get used to lookin at u the way u r.

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

I do too. It sucks

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

go to the salon and have them "relax your hair" it will help a lot. If you do not want to go, then you can buy product s that will help. There are many "relaxing products" out there. So start with the brands you can find at the Discount stores,(like Wal Mart or K mart) then you can find the right one for you. Aussie had some great products, you can even try Paul Mitchell products... Hope this helps....

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

Stop resisting it and embrace it! Curly hair can be so unique and cool. Let it grow long (if it's not already), and the weight of your hair will probably loosen it a bit. Of course, you can use products to further tame it. Go for that Sarah Jessica Parker wild long loose curls look!

I have unmangable curly hair and i hate it!?

im not really sure honey. the best i can say is go with the flow. do the cute hairstyles that are in this fall. most are curly. pull it back, put it up, make it look somethin like curly dreads with alittle spray. dont get flustered over it. thank God curly is always cute. make the best with wht God gave ya. who knows maybe your crush like girls wit curly hair.

Sauci Lati gave you and awesome answer I think that u should try and avoid the chemical straighting if you can.I know that some salons no longer offer chemical straighting anymore since it damages the hair too much. I also heard some people lost some hair. I have curly hair and I use a little bit of all these right after the shower Silk Therapy that works awesome on the frizz I also use by Redken Ringlet ,Redken outshine anti Frizz and some good gel with protein and the curls look awesome. I hope this helps . As well if u are going to continue to straighten your hair make sure you get a ceramic straightener I have paul brown and it works awesome. I would also recommend to talk to a good stylist.

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products (to get your hair curly or straight) and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .

I have naturally curly hair. Is there any foolproof way to temporarily straighten it?

I have extremely huge, wild, curly hair. Maybe types of 3 and 4 combined. How can I straighten it? Blow driers are a major no, because they make me look like I just got struck by lightning. Flat irons have to be so hot to get my hair straight that they tend to damage my hair, if overused, but if I do manage to do my whole head, it looks nice for about 10 minutes, then it all starts to feel stiff and stick out and the roots revert back and...then it sticks out all over the place like I just sprayed in a couple cans of aqua net. 80s rockers would have been proud... but if it's not Halloween, then, I need a smooth, tamer look. I don't want to use a chemical straightener. I used to have one, and my hair spent more time in broken pieces on my shoulders or floor than it did on my head. Yeah, my hair got long sometimes, but it was never healthy. I really want to wear my hair straight sometimes. Magazines claim you can temporarily straighten curly hair, but I can't figure out how. Any ideas?

I have naturally curly hair. Is there any foolproof way to temporarily straighten it?

condition your hair then use a hair creme or leavin conditioner like wella for straight hair and blowdry and use a hair iron and finish look with wax

I have naturally curly hair. Is there any foolproof way to temporarily straighten it?

why don't you rebond or relax your hair? Or you could put mousse after you wet your hair. If there really no way, why don't you just style your hair so it won't look big and wild. You could do halfpony or put it on a bun.

How can i relax curly hair without loozing curls?

i have really curly, fine thin hair and i want to have pretty curls without straitening it compleetly. I dont have much time in the morning because i have to wake up early but i really want to be able to not straiten it every day and damage my hair. When i straiten it rests a little past my shoulders and has reached medium length, but when curly its around the middle of my neck. I want it to be long and less curly.

i look a little like this naturallyhttp://www.lynnechapman.com/images/curly...

if possible i want to look like this http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.co...

How can i relax curly hair without loozing curls?

Just get a regular permanent and comb the curling solution through your hair without rolling your hair on perm rods. After it's relaxed to where you want it, apply the neutralizer.

How can i relax curly hair without loozing curls?

well your going to have to strighten it and recurl it every morning i suggest to bring in the 2nd pic and get a hair stylist to permetelly do that for you so in a couple years it will stay that way forever

How can i relax curly hair without loozing curls?

try natural relaxer, it relaxes the hair without completly straightening it, or you can buy straightening products are blowdry your hair straight dow

How can i relax curly hair without loozing curls?

if you want to control your friz, use this product:

http://www.prestoimages.net/store/graphi...

it's a tresemme product and I've used if before, it really works!!

How can i relax curly hair without loozing curls?

you could buy a hair relaxer and use it on your hair. These are going to make your hair more managable and less course, but you will still have curls. your hair will be more managable and soft. Hair relaxers are for a hair type not a skin color, remember that. I have used them on my hair for years. another thing that you should use is the "Motions at Home" shampoo and conditioner. (its found in the ethnic hair care isle) again, anyone can use it. it really makes your hair soft and more managable. I have hair like your first picture. Remember... a relaxer is not going to take all the curls from your hair and make it straight, it is going to make your hair much easier to work with.

Majorly curly and dark brown hair, I straightn a lot and i wanna dye it light brown, would that kill

i really wanna do this because i think it will throw people off and this guy i really like likes blodes a lot. He flirts with me constantly...but i think it would just set him over the top if my hair was light brown...I would go blonde but that would look terrible..(got to work somewhat with what you have I guess) but I really wanna do somehting different. would that kill my curls if i took color out. my mom says yes and i would get it professionally done...i just dont have curly hair... i have wringlets that are like insane! i was vited most curly hair last year.. anyways.. i straighten it like all the time and i was wondering if my hair would look fired and fuzzy if i left it curly...which i do do sometimes, ....help pleaaaase

Majorly curly and dark brown hair, I straightn a lot and i wanna dye it light brown, would that kill my curls?

DO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR FOR SOME GUY!!!!

Majorly curly and dark brown hair, I straightn a lot and i wanna dye it light brown, would that kill my curls?

you shouldn't dye your hair for some guy lol i dyed my hair cuz i like this color and it's light brown burgandy

Majorly curly and dark brown hair, I straightn a lot and i wanna dye it light brown, would that kill my curls?

Don't change yourself for some guy.. but if you really want to do this then what you need is moisture... it's the drying effect of stipping you hair that kills you curls. Sally's Beauty Supply has Cholesterol, get some, use it... save your curls. A good light leave in cond. would be good too, Infusium 23 is fab.

Majorly curly and dark brown hair, I straightn a lot and i wanna dye it light brown, would that kill my curls?

The dying your hair part is up to you, if you do get it died get it done professionally and try not to straiten your hair so much so you don't completely kill it, before you get your hair dyed you should probably let your hair get healthy first though. And about the frizzyness, use Friz-eeze I think it's called or gel so your hair doesnt get so frizzy, the frizz is probably also there because you straiten it so much.

Everyone tells me that my hair looks great curly and i look cleaner I hate it curly. But when I straighten my hair it's longer but my ends like die but i like straight better. But I always where my hair up. U pick what should I do. My curly hair is like ringlets.

Enjoy

If you have curly hair you should embrace it. straightening is just a pain and it'll end up becoming wavy anyway. my friend who has ringlets told me that she uses an extreme hold curling mouse and it helps her curls stay bouncy and clean. john frieda is the best curling mouse brand. it doesnt make your hair look greasy and it has an all day hold.

My hair is the same way. Very curly, and puffy when it dries on it's own. I use products to try and take some of the poof out. I like t better dried too, but like you, it fries very quickly. Mine is in better shape since I cut about 3 inches off it, but I am STILL grieving over that three inches, lol!

I hope someone can give us both some advice.

leave it curly, I bet its beatiful. if you straighten it use a protein conditioner for it and that should help I use ION conditioner you can get it at sallys beauty supply, but if you want the truth leave it curly. most people pay to have that done. good luck

What God gave you is usually what looks best on you anyway. Find ways to optimize your curly do. If you think it looks frizzy, get anti-friz treatment or just use more conditioner. OR you could take your showers at night and towel dry until damp as opposed to blow drying which will poof you out.

we cant really choose if you dont have pictures to show us.. get you hair permanetly straightened until your roots grow out...go to a salon....my hair is straight and i got a perm but my naturally straight hair is growing out now.....but it was a great experience....get it proffessionally straightend.

my daughter straightens her hair everyday.hers is a little wavy.it takes her forever to get ready for school.it has to be straight.but if yours is extremely curly,i'd leave it curly.maybe you could try some hair product to make it a little less curly.

deal with it

My hair is EXTREMELY curly... plz keep reading?

I think that if you are naturally curly, it's better to leave it that way because it looks nicer. Plus if everyone tells you that it looks better then it probably does.

If you are still not satisfied then you can get your hair chemically straightened at a salon. It will cost about $300-$600 but it lasts for 1 year. My best friend gets it done, her hair is pretty similar to yours. They put a very strong conditioner in your hair, so it will not dry out. Ask you local salon about it.

Hope this helps!!

Does Joe have curly hair?

Cuz' in this pic on a youtube vid, he had his hood up and his hair looke curly. I know Kevin and Nick obviously has curly hair because when Kevin's hair was short it was curly but I'm not so sure about Joe.

When Joe was little he had straight looking hair and I don't think he straightened his hair when he was little or maybe he did.-THANX

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

Has anyone with thick curly hair gotten a Japanese straightening done, and liked how it worked?

I've wanted to try the japanese hair straightening, because it supposidly lasts long and works great. and its straight, sleek, and not poofy or frizzie.

my hair is a little past shoulderlenght, all one lenght. it is everything, poofy, frizzie, and thick. its in between curly and wavey.

I wanted some input from people who have had this done or know someone who has, to see if it would be an option for my hair.

i reaaallly need to do somthing about it and just using a straightening iron every day is not going to work, it takes too much time.

For people that have gotten it done with thick curly hair:

How did it work?

Does it look straight and thin?

How much damage did it do to your hair?

Is it worth it?

Do you have to style it?

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

I have not used it but I have seen it done. If you have had any type of chemical (color, perm, straightner, etc) put in your hair you should not use it. SUpposedly it is only good if your hair is virgin hair, NEVER been touched. It can be very harsh and drying and sometimes critical hair loss.

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

I'm thinking I should try it!

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

i have thick curly hair and ive gotten it japanese straightened it before. it permanently straightens your hair - it doesnt come out gradually, you have to wait for your hair to grow back out (and hair grows on a average a 1/2 inch per month).

"How did it work?

Does it look straight and thin?"

basically what happens is they put chemicals on your hair for an hour or a half hour - i dont remember which. and then they wash it out and iron your hair a tiny bit at a time to make the hole thing STICK STRAIGHT and soooo much thinner. then they put on a sealent chemical thing for a little an d wash it out and your hair dries straight. but for the first maybe 3 days or somehting youre not allowed to get your hair wet or put it up or anything so as not to crease it.

"How much damage did it do to your hair?"

it basically just kills all the bonds in your hair so it does a lot of damage but its also really shiny so it doesnt look dead or anything

"is it worth it? "

its pretty expensive so price wise it depends how much you want it but keep in mind you have to keep on getting it done everytime your hair grows out because it is VERY noticible when you have thick hair. because your hair looks so much thinner then when it gorws out it looks really awkward until you get it re-done (NOT FUN!!) i had gotten it done probably about 4 times over the course of a year and half and then i decided i missed my curly hair and let it grow out (so during that time i had to constantly iron out the hair the was growing in becaus my hair was half curly and half striaght) it took me almost 2 years for my hair to completely grow out and my curls arent the same. (theyre still good curls but i used to have banana curls which i would still have had i not gotten it done).

"Do you have to style it?"

completely up to you. its like when you iron your hair only with less body so whatever hairstyle works for you -wear. atleast for me mu hair was usually in a ponytail or just down with a side part.

basically unless you absolutely MUSt get it done i would STRONGLY reccomend not to do it .

good luck.

Any ideas?

condition your hair then use a hair creme or leavin conditioner like wella for straight hair and blowdry and use a hair iron and finish look with wax

why don't you rebond or relax your hair? Or you could put mousse after you wet your hair. If there really no way, why don't you just style your hair so it won't look big and wild. You could do halfpony or put it on a bun.

Get it permanent straighten in a hair salon and if you don't like it then stop using the treatment they will give you

good luck!!

Curly Hair For Prom?

I have shoulder length blondeish brown hair, and I'm wearing my hair down for prom. I want to get it curly, but I need some good ideas of what it should look like. Does anyone have any good websites with curly hair styles on it?

Keep it mind, I don't want any type of updo at all.

Curly Hair For Prom?

Go to a professional place and tell them to curl it...make it were one part is up and the rest of it down...it would look really cute.

Curly Hair For Prom?

we just had a couple come in and the girls hair was spiral curled in ringlets. She only had the sides pinned back in a hairbow. It was really pretty.

What i think you should do is put the iron on half down your hair and then curl it.

Can straight hair turn into curly hair without chemicals?

When I was younger my hair was brown but as I grew my hair turned darker and darker (currently black hair). I wonder if this can be said for straight hair turning into curly hair or vice versa. Can straight hair turn into curly hair as you grow? Please don't think I am weird or anything, I just never heard anything about this.

Can straight hair turn into curly hair without chemicals?

its the hormones. as we get older these produce changes in our apperance...when i was younger i had pencil straight hair, now my hair gets this wavy pizzaz about it.

Can straight hair turn into curly hair without chemicals?

yes this happens. my hair was light brown when I was little now its really dark so I dye it back. It was also REALLY curly and not its completely straight! it happens

Can straight hair turn into curly hair without chemicals?

sure it can happen, but it has smaller chances to change during your adulthood

Can straight hair turn into curly hair without chemicals?

This can happen. When I was younger I had pin straight hair. In the past few years the back section of my hair has begun to get wavy and some strands are corkscrew curly. I imagine that eventually all my hair will be curly. Also, I have a co-worker who says that her hair became curly after she had kids.

Can straight hair turn into curly hair without chemicals?

My son had straight hair until puberty hit, then it started getting curly - to his dismay. My sister had curly hair until she started having babies, then it went straight. My hair went from a medium chestnut brown to black within 24 hours of the birth of my son.

I have to wonder if changing hormones has something to do with those changes in our hair.

Hair-- Curly?

I used to have curly hair as a kid, but growing up I had it layered (in retrospect it was one of the worst things I've ever done) so it got all frizzy and I had it rebonded. Now, my hair's rebonded like, 4/5 times over but I want my curly hair back! DO you think it's possible?

Hair-- Curly?

I am afraid that the only way to get your curly hair back will be to cut them to let them grow in a natural way again.

I have long and curly hair by myself, nothing is better than natural growing without chemistry, because otherwise they are going to get frizzy all over.

Hair-- Curly?

you may just have to wait until your new hair comes thru...at least that way, it will be curly

Hair-- Curly?

yes. I used to have curly hair when I was younger, and now its straighter. This is what my mom does for me every night ( cause i cant braid my own hair, its quite a sight when i do it lol). I wet my hair with a spray bottle and put some mousse in it. Then my mom puts my hair in about 9 or 10 braids. Like 4 or 5 on top and 5 on the bottom. Then I go to sleep and in the morning take then out and I have perfect curls. Btw, my hair is frizzy and poofy too, but like this its easier to handle and not frizzy or poofy. I loove it like this! And if you have too, use a curl activating shampoo and conditioner.

good luck!
